Terms and conditions
It is essential that you contact the office for any reason your child(ren) cannot attend their class as scheduled. The efficiency of the music school totally rests on a timetable. Late changes can affect the structure of the classes and therefore the viability of the school. If the office is closed, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly.
Payment is due first day of each term (See calendar). We allow a maximum of 3 days for late payment, after which a $1 late fee/day will be applied to your invoice. Student books and CD’s are an additional fee and must be purchased at the time of enrollment. After enrollment, if there are no ongoing level appropriate classes, your child will be on a waiting list until the class fills up. Minimums of 7 children are required for the class to start. A $100 payment is due at enrollment if your child has to be placed on a waiting list. This non-refundable fee is required to secure your spot in the new forming class and it will go towards your tuition when the class begins. If for any reason you decide to remove your child from the waiting list, we would appreciate if you would contact the office.
Should your child miss a class for any reason, make up classes will not be scheduled and no refunds will be offered for the missed classes. If more than one class in a row is missed, teacher will determine if the child needs to purchase a 30 min private piano lesson for the student to catch up with the material. This applies for students enrolled in Pianorama courses. No make up lessons are required for Jitterbug and Beebopper courses.
In the event the teacher misses the class a make up class will be scheduled. An email will be sent to you notifying you with the exact days/times for our make up classes.
A parent/guardian is required to participate in class with students ages 2-6. For ages 7 and up parent attendance is optional. Parents are responsible to make sure students bring class materials to each class, receive and complete homework assignments.
No food or drinks in the classroom by students, parents or guests.
Students are expected to follow class rules and maintain good behavior. This applies to siblings sitting in for class as well. Parent/teacher conferences will be scheduled if disruptive behavior is persistent.
Notice to parents of students enrolled in Jitterbug and Beebopper courses: Due to the students being of such young age, accidents in the classroom can happen. Parents are to quietly clean up, as teacher cannot interrupt class. Cleaning supplies are provided in the nearest bathroom. If your child gets agitated or starts crying and problem persists causing disruption to the class, we strongly recommend taking your child outside the classroom and quietly returning when the child is settled.
Should you wish to discontinue classes with MSI Dallas, we require a minimum of 4 weeks written notice before the new term. If notice is not received you will be charged for the upcoming term. If classes are discontinued during a term, tuition will not be refunded.
